Saturday, March 9, 2024
9:00 a.m. to Noon
Overland Park Convention Center, 6000 College Blvd, Overland Park KS
YWCE is a fun FREE event for youth and their adult sponsors featuring many exciting conservation, educational and outdoor activities for young boys and girls ages 8-16. A couple of items on the program this year include:
-
The Missouri Hunting Heritage Foundation MHHF introduces youth to an outdoor way of life featuring our hunting tradition, the shooting sports and the enjoyment of being in Missouri’s natural landscape.

-
Lunch is included for youth and their adult sponsors
-
The kids typically go home with a backpack filled with various hunting, fishing or outdoor items.
-
Free admission is also included to the Open Season Sportsman's Expo following the event. They can visit the KCSCI booth where they can walk through the Sensory Safari, shoot archery under the guidance of professional youth trainers from Archery Excellence and visit a variety of booths with information and merchandise about hunting, fishing and outdoor activities.
This is a popular event so advance registration is required.
This year the event can host up to 100 youth, ages 8-16, and their adult sponsors. Youth in attendance need to have an adult attend with them. In fact, the adult sponsors enjoy this as much as the kids. Adults may accompany multiple youth.

The Y.W.C.E. was first envisioned when Larry and Brenda Potterfield of Midway U.S.A. offered KC-SCI a generous endowment funded by the "Larry Potterfield Family Foundation."
